"Can there ever be a rationally satisfying and scientifically based explanation as to what happens to consciousness at the point of death?
I believe that there can be and that this explanation in no way invalidates long held religious beliefs about life after death.

I am watching this programme as I write and have to say, I think this is one of the best you have done. This is what Edge Media is for - making you think!!!
I was so impressed by Anthony Peake's range of knowledge and found the interview fascinating. He brought together a lot of related ideas and explained complex ideas with clarity. As someone who has a spirit guide who has been a loving and wise companion for many years, I was very interested in the notion that 'he' is my daemon and that it is really me. Wonderful stuff. I will certainly be taking a close look at Anthony Peake's website and his books.
My only problem with the programme was losing the sound and then the signal two or three times towards the end for no apparent reason (usually it is bad weather but the skies were clear. Annoyingly, it seemed to happen when Anthony Peake was making a particularly interesting observation. Hopefully the repeat will be better.
All in all, a really enjoyable programme. Well done. |

Cracking show! Apart from the god awful adverts for veet pubic hair remover and some face cream that makes you ten years younger. Oh and there's that other awful one for calgon with a daft mother being chatted up by a grease monkey with a spanner... All cobbblers of course but there we are....
Back to tonights show..... Best yet!

I agree with "Bear" above, even to the point of TV/sat reception breaking up at key times, but that is Sky TV for you.
Anthony Peake has raised some interesting points, many things to consider. Worthy of further investigation I feel. |

Yes a bit of rain or light cloud and whoops there goes your reception.....and they still want us to believe we put a man on the moon 40 years ago hmmmmmmm......anyway when is the show being repeated as unfortunately missed it last night, sounds very interesting.

Firstly not-in-my-name , the signal break up wasn't caused by "a bit of light cloud or rain". I don't know what caused the problem. It would be nice if the Techies at Controversial TV could perhaps explain what happened. For sure the hick-up wasn't caused by the weather! BTW not-in-my-name , the Yanks did land on the Moon, its official you know, haven't you heard ...
Anyway down to important matters about the latest On The Edge. Yes probably the best programme to date. I had the distinct impression interviewer and movie buff Theo enjoyed conducting the interview as much as any he's so far done. Pretty impressive stuff Theo old boy, you and Anthony made a really good presentable pairing, almost as though you'd rehearsed it! Perhaps though the waters could have been muddied somewhat by bringing into the discussion Alzheimer sufferers, aborted foetuses, infant deaths etc, so as to give Anthony the chance to postulate if his hypotheses equally apply to those humans too!
So nope, can't say I'm yet completely sold on Anthony's 'hypotheses'.
Nevertheless all in all Anthony Peake's textual output including web site are definitely worth further consideration and investigation . For sure Mr Peake comes across as one highly intelligent, well-educated, well researched and extremely effective articulator. Theo's not far behind either ...! |

21st sentry the comment was meant as slight sarcasm why are you so violent and oppressive in your response, please lighten up and dont go down the path of aggressive tendancies, but hey my comment of sky tv going down with the hint of slight cloud and/or rain stands as it happens...fact

I'm sorry not-in-my-name , seems it could've been the weather that caused the short breaks in transmission. Obviously a first time for everything.
Regarding your charge of me being violent and oppressive, have to say that comment give me a bit a chuckle. Strikes me you might possibly have something of persecution complex, I'm not the police you know ... So for goodness sakes lighten up a bit yourself young man and try not to read more into comments that aren't there. I think if I was more layed back I'd be a falling off my flipping chair ...
On a conciliatory note, if you're interested I've visited your web site and found it very interesting and well compiled with a strong message. So thank you for that message at least and good luck with spreading the peaceful word . |

Apologies to you I must have been having a bad day. Some days it is hard to stay in a lightened mood and yes you are right to say I was suffering from a slight persecution complex, although where that came from I have no idea....many thanks

I'm watching the Saturday repeat. Did anyone get to the bottom of the "light anomaly" that occasionally appeared over Anthony's right arm? A viewer did draw attention to it in an email/text. I had noticed several times, little orbs drifting around and on one occasion appearing as a static short streak before turning into a little dot and floating away!
I'm no expert but it didn't appear to be a camera "fault".
