Beginning of the Human Race

Two days later the girl asked her father the same question. The father answered, "Many years ago there were monkeys from which the human race evolved."
The confused girl returned to her mother and said, "Mum, how is it possible that you told me the human race was created by God, and Dad said they developed from monkeys?" The mother answered, "Well, poppet, it is very simple. I told you about my side of the family and your father told you about his."
Hi DPS Very funny and very revealing. I suppose he(god) just called them A and B as a proper language hadn't been invented by then. And later the story was adapted for the reason so that the general public could understand it easier. We can't be certain what form the male Adam took as he appeared to have much less intuition than his female human counterpart. Thanks and regards Kevin |

Time this was revived. I've found a clip from 1968 featuring the brilliant Russian virtuoso, David Oistrakh, playing the Rondo-Allegro from Beethoven's violin concerto. The orchestra is the London Philharmonic conducted by Sir Adrian Boult. I can't make up my mind which is the better version, this or Menuhin's 1945 recording. In the latter, the Lucerne Festival Orchestra was conducted by Wilhelm Furtwangler. At any rate, only a few have been able to convey fully the Master's only violin concerto and Oistrakh is certainly one of them.

In TOTAL contrast to Smoking Man's last post, here's John Lydon (and friends) before he sold out:

Shame there isn't a way that we can play ALL the songs on this thread as a seamless stream (interruption-free). |
